Push Them to Excel

Do you have bald eagles where you live? We sure don't; but can you imagine hearing a ruckus above your head, only to look up and see two bald eagles way up high, in a fight?
I heard an incredible true story about a man who did that very thing: he walked outside just in time to hear an awful commotion above his head. When he looked in the sky, way up high, and even higher, he could tell, it was two bald eagles: one of them had a huge fish, and the other one wanted it. They went around and around, until they lost the fish, unbeknownst to them, as they were in an all-out attack on each other at this point. One was mad for what the other one had, and the other was defending himself. The man thought they had stopped fighting when one eagle soared away; but then in a few seconds flew back full speed ahead into the other one, knocking him a far distance. Both birds were so give out tired, but neither would give up until they bloodied each other up so bad, they were so weak, they both fell to the ground and met their death.
Isn't it sad that many family members are doing the same thing?
Rather than being jealous or envious at what another person has, have you thought of helping them in their efforts, instead of trying to stop them from accomplishing any good thing? Stop discouraging them by pulling out of them their weakness; instead, push them to excel and see how happy you both are in pulling together instead of pulling apart. You'll find a whole lot more gets accomplished that way, and nobody gets hurt.
Galatians 5:13b and 15 "but through love serve one another. But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!"
